When noise storm released “Crab Rave” with Monstercat for April Fool’s Day five years ago, no one thought it would become a fixture in meme culture. Thousands of memes are created every day, some intentional and some with wanton abandon – “Crab Rave” seems to be in the latter group. It’s a silly video of crabs dancing at the end of the day.
But, somehow, it took.
Now, five years to the day later, Noisestorm himself has created his own video game called “Crab Champions”.
The game is a roguelike, which means you’ll play the same general map rotation with an ever-changing list of skills and abilities to help you defeat your enemies. (FFO: Hades, Gunfire Reborn, Weird RPG, Brotato.) You can play solo or with up to three friends, shooting and looting on the beach.
At press time, you can purchase Crab Champions 15% off the regular price on Steam for $8.49.
It’s been a day since Crab Champions came out and I wanted to say a BIG thank you to everyone who tried the game.
As a solo game developer releasing my very first game, this is a dream come true – couldn’t have asked for a better release đŚ pic.twitter.com/rar7pmIKPK
