There are few artists as iconic as Crystal Waters. She’s been a trailblazer since 1991, landing thirteen Billboard No. 1s, while continuing to be one of the most sampled and covered artists (see Coldplay cover here). She has her own radio show, I Am House, syndicated to SiriusXM, and every new song she releases finds its way into the sets of today’s biggest DJs.
Considering her success, you can only imagine that anyone she would ask to remix her music would be artists of immense talent. Well, we got a nice gift just in time for Valentine’s Day, in the form of some mesmerizing remixes from legendary DJs Todd Terry, David Morales and David Anthony (who also produced the original) for his recent single, ” 2B Luv”.
It’s impossible to pick a favorite, as each offers their own signature style that is utterly irresistible. Morales offers an elegant disco house interpretation. Todd Terry arrives with a deep, deep bass line and an infectious digital arrangement. Coming full circle, David Anthony throws his hat on the dance floor and delivers a club throwback for the heads that brings a bit of old school flair to this modern classic.
