It’s been 15 years since Cascade And deadmau5 paired for the first time on “I Remember”. Today, just over a year since the two officially teamed up as Kx5 for the release of their debut single, “Escape” featuring Hayla, their self-titled debut album Kx5 is officially out.
The full album features 10 tracks, 6 of which were previously released as singles. New additions include “Bright Lights” featuring AR/CO, “pwdr Blu” featuring Brother., “Eat Sleep” featuring Richard Walters, and the album’s closing track, “Unobsidian.”
Even with only a few “new” songs in the final release (the amount of pre-album singles released is discussed in this recent interview by Billboard), Kx5 feels incredibly cohesive. That’s no surprise coming from two preeminent dance music veterans.
