Kyle Watson continues to be a prolific producer/DJ and a good times giver whenever he’s home. The South African-born artist has worked tirelessly in the studio for over 15 years to develop an incredibly unique sound, earning him top status in the house scene. He’s even been featured on some of dance music’s hottest labels including Higher Ground, Atlantic Records, REALM and Armada, and with nods from heavy hitters such as Chris Lake, Gorgon City and Diplo.
Today he announced the launch of his own label ‘No Context Records’ with the lead single, a tech house heater, ‘Kick Drums’! The quintessence of any dance floor is the bass drum, it’s the glue that holds it all together. Kyle paired the perfect kick with a rumbling bassline that hits straight in the chest, stifling percussion, and a unique set of builds with a distinctive sound design that culminates in a certified dancefloor belt.
“I tested Kick Drums in my sets for over six months. After each run I took it back to the studio and kept refining it until I was 100% satisfied, and that’s the version you hear today. It got some of the biggest reactions on my previous tour and when I teased it in late 2022 on social media, judging by the reaction it was clear people wanted it released.
