Denver’s music scene is a tight-knit community, and the trendy trip-hop duo Since JulyEYE reflect this camaraderie. The smashing genre borders with their unique sound styles, Since JulyEYE was born out of shared musical tastes and Denver’s warm, inclusive artistic identity.

After starting as a solo project by DJ/producer Lev Averbakh, Since JulyEYE recently added longtime collaborator and veteran keyboardist Todd Stoops (QAR, Kung Fu) as a permanent member. This new creative partnership has resulted in a dynamic mix of averbakhthe dynamic hip-hop production of Stoops’ jam band sensibilities – a dynamic combination that has led to performances at Summer Camp Music Festival, Gem & Jam, color fieldAnd wave spellwhere they presented their electric live sets.

NOW, Since JulyEYE released their first album, The dawn of since, a comprehensive project that highlights the singularly aligned musical intuition of its artists. It’s a genre masterpiece, starring Eric “Benny” Bloom (Lettuce), Colby Buckler (Emancipator, Manic Focus), Michal Menert, ProbCause, and more.

You can’t go wrong with any of the tracks, but our favorite is “Off White Flowers,” a lo-fi jam turned into a thrilling drum and bass tour that’s absolutely unforgettable.

“This album embodies our sonic evolution and we are extremely excited to share it.” – Lev Averbakh (from Since JulEYE)
