AMP EP is designed to commemorate his life and show the world what an amazing person he was. While AMP is the initials of Matphilly’s late brother, the EP taps into his heritage while striking a chord with thoughtful, bass-driven tunes.
Taking listeners on a sentimental journey, each song by AMP EP offers new soundscapes and narrations. It’s a roller coaster of emotions, offering moments of reflection accompanied by thunderous drops to lose yourself entirely in the music. “My brother was an important part of my life and losing him out of nowhere really changed the course of my life and my mental health. So much so that I was going to quit music but I know he would want me to continue. , so to honor him, I chose my closest friends at SUBshockers. He also knew my brother and we channeled our energy into honoring his life and legacy. That’s something I want the world sees who never met my brother and how important he was to so many people.
