It’s been a while since we’ve featured Carbin on Your EDM, but that’s set to change this year as the producer unveils a new project called CHEMISTREE and also releases the first single, “CLOCKIN’ OUT” featuring broken.
According to Carbin, “CHEMISTREE is a free-spirited project that encapsulates the cycle of life, the human experience, and brings listeners into a state of enlightened being while retaining natural and grounded elements.”
“CLOCKIN’ OUT” puts a funky, experimental spin on your typical bass music that should be familiar to fans of CloZee, Big Gigantic, LSDREAM or GRiZ. It’s a funky and fun sound ecosystem that promises new and improved sound that takes all of its listeners on a quirky audio-visual experience.
GRiZ and LSDREAM recently played CHEMISTREE’s first track during their B2B set at the Okeechobee Music Festival, receiving great feedback from fans and the industry. The new project is highly anticipated and fans are excited to hear about the new direction CHEMISTREE is taking.
Carbin’s motivation for creating CHEMISTREE was to show the world who he is in a light they have yet to see. “Creating heavy, dark dubstep has always been a passion of mine,” he says. “I’ll always love the feeling of epic intensity, but over the years I’ve come to appreciate so many other styles of EDM. Having a kid has brought such a sense of joy and understanding into my life, and the CHEMISTREE project is the product of that. I wanted something more, something with more weight and depth behind it. I wanted something fun and uplifting. I wanted to show myself to the world.
