After nine years (!) showtek And All right are back with their second official collab”BT1.” After first reuniting in 2014, on “Bouncer,” “BT1” sees the two artists join forces on a collaboration that perfectly captures where each has evolved over the years. A lot has changed in the music industry (and the world) over the past decade. In 2014, Showtek was transitioning from hardstyle to major festival hits. Ookay was starting to make waves in trap and dubstep.
Fast forward to the present day, and Showtek has settled into a nice lane of more mature, radio-friendly tracks that almost always resonate with a positive message. Ookay has evolved far beyond DJing as it is now common to see him taking his live set on the road, where he plays 80s-inspired synth-pop sounds. The collaboration came about by chance in the midst of the pandemic when Showtek accidentally joined Ookay’s Instagram livestream and heard a snippet of what would become “BT1”.
With those same nostalgic synths, a bright, bouncy melody and a groovy bassline. “BT1” is the perfect blend of newer and classic elements. “BT1” is a track that is sure to brighten up many warm spring days.
