We also had the chance to speak with the Swerve team, check it out below!

This is your 3rd Miami Sampler EP. What started in the first place? What do you remember from this EP?

It’s our Super Bowl at this point. When I became a producer, I noticed a lot of labels would do that and it was always such a cool concept. Timing dance music around arguably the best week in dance music just makes sense. So I followed suit. I love that every year the EP gets better and better with more and more talented artists hoping to make it onto Swerve’s roster. This year in particular: every track is a hit on the main stage.

How do you decide which tracks to select for the sampler?

Every year I try to include tracks that capture the vibe of Swerve. The Miami Samplers are flagship projects that showcase our Mainstage sound. Demos are pouring in daily and in about 5-6 months I will start putting some aside for this specific project which I know will be a perfect fit.

What are some of your goals this year with Swerve Collective? How have you seen the growth over the past few years?

I’m currently deployed at the moment, so for the rest of the year the focus is on building a fan base through ads, various engagement events like contests and giveaways. samples, and on the development of our promotional lists. Less attention to tedious release planning and more attention to engagement. I think Swerve is now at a point where we have a strong roster of talented artists and our discography really shows that. It’s time to really start putting Swerve on the map.
