Five years ago today I was at a festival in Florida with little to no cell service when suddenly the screens started showing “RIP Avicii”. It was a funny joke, I thought at the time, but soon a murmur began to spread through the crowd. I found my way to the media area with WiFi access and discovered the terrible truth, that the world had lost Tim Bergling, aka Avicii.
Avicii was an incredibly powerful force in dance music. His loss has continued to be felt every year since and today, on the fifth anniversary of his death, we still celebrate his life and legacy.
